Product Details

The hydroxyl value titration method is based on quantitatively converting hydroxyl groups into titratable acids and calculating the hydroxyl value through titration with residual reagents.

Application scenarios

1. Polyether polyol: used to produce polyurethane foam (soft foam, hard foam), elastomer, adhesive, coating, etc. The hydroxyl value directly determines the molecular weight and cross-linking density of the polymer. 2. Polyester polyols: also used in the polyurethane industry (coatings, adhesives, elastomers, shoe sole materials, etc.). The hydroxyl value controls the performance of the final product. 3. Oils, fatty acids and derivatives: Determine the hydroxyl content of natural oils, hydrogenated oils, fatty acid methyl esters, alkyd resins, etc., evaluate their oxidation degree or use for modification. 4. Resin (alkyd resin, polyester resin): a key quality control indicator that affects the drying speed, hardness, flexibility, and other properties of coatings.
