This product is a substrate for the determination of aminotransferase and dehydrogenase, a supporting reagent for the determination of liver function, and used as an intermediate in organic synthesis; Analytical reagent for tryptophan; Determination of substrates for aminotransferase and dehydrogenase; Supporting reagents for measuring liver function. It is a derivative of valeric acid and an intermediate product of glutamate dehydrogenase catalyzing the KREB cycle. It also participates in amino acid metabolism and bilirubin synthesis.
